How & where we met
Anthony and Annie met in 2005 in the final year of high school at Chisholm. Annie was the new girl to the school and initially Anthony was not interested in talking to her at all because there was less than a year of high school left but he was drawn in by her kindness and warm heart and couldn’t keep away from her.
The proposal
After being together for almost 10 years, Anthony proposed to Annie at sunset on the jetty at Ayana Resort in Bali on July 17th 2015. He told her to dress nice as he would take her out to dinner. The taxi driver was late but managed to speed to Ayana Resort before sunset.
We were greeted and a private butler led us to our dining table at the bottom of the resort and kindly was taking photos along the way. He led us out to the private jetty and said we would take more photos here. As we made our way to the end of the jetty we passed 2 musicians playing traditional Indonesian music. When we reached the end of the jetty, there was 2 giant bamboo leaves concealing a private candle lit dinner. The butler offered to take a photo. In that moment, Anthony went down on one knee and ask me to be his wife. I was so happy and excited. I did not expect it as we were going to Europe in a few months and thought he would do it there. We then enjoyed a 3 course menu watching the sunset and discussed our wedding plans!

I purchased all 116 mirrors , 116 candle holders , 30 vases and candles from IKEA myself
Table number insert was black and white photos of Anthony and I and the experiences we have shared in 11 years
The menu, name place cards, photo booth signs, candy bar, guest book and Instagram signs were all designed on Canva by myself and printed at Officeworks
